Special travel needs

We will be happy to help if you or someone in your group has special travel requirements. LuxScanner advises submitting your request immediately after ticketing.

The air travel industry has come a long way in making air travel affordable for everyone. Airlines have rules and trained employees to ensure the necessary assistance to passengers with reduced mobility, visual or hearing impairments, cognitive impairments, or developmental disabilities; as well as passengers who are accompanied on a trip by a guardian or attendant, or who are traveling with a service or support animal. Special assistance may also be available to passengers with dietary restrictions or allergies, pregnant women (especially those close to childbirth) or parents traveling with newborns, travelers who bring mobile equipment and/or medical devices, etc.

If you or someone in your group needs to request special travel arrangements, our customer service team will help you navigate the relevant airline policies and requirements and will make every effort to ensure that you can directly contact your designated airline(s), support teams.

In our experience, it is best to direct Special Assistance requests to the airline to ensure that everything is confirmed on-site or otherwise possible alternative solutions are discussed and quickly agreed on.

We recommend that you request such agreements as early as possible if their approval is dependent on availability or other factors. (For example, the number of service animals allowed on airplanes is usually limited.)

Last but not least, your airlines' online resources can be invaluable. The airline websites provide a lot of useful information to help you better prepare for your trip and make informed decisions about the options that matter to you and your fellow travelers.
